Here at Pen to Paper we have a long history of being proactive when it comes to the environment. Over the years we have built up a wide range of measures and we are proud to say we are adding exciting new ventures to further improve our credentials.
Our new website is currently going through an exercise of identifying the most ethically sourced products. We are also building relationships with ecologically ethical suppliers and connecting with them directly in order to introduce them to our customers and hence help everyone make a difference!
For a very long time now we have been;
– Sourcing ecologically sound suppliers.
– Recycling our waste.
– Reusing packaging for our orders.
– Using natural materials for our packing such as paper tape etc.
– Using zero emission deliveries locally.
– Using low energy lighting.
– Reducing needless use of all materials.
Although we urge all our suppliers to use ethical sourcing for all their products and shipping, we also seek out ‘Champions’ who really strive to achieve zero emission status.
We also seek out other businesses in the industry that do everything they can to make a real difference to our environment and our children’s future.
We seek out those local suppliers who provide products that minimise the use of new raw materials such as Artbox Design of Brighton, who recycle old leather to create new and vibrant products, Paper High who ethically source all their products and The Alchemist’s Satchell, a local company that specialise in using natural products to create wonderful aroma based products that can be found in our Gift Builder section.
We are also building relationships with local and ethical suppliers who specialise in providing ecologically sound products such as ‘Ecolutions‘ who sell a wide range of products, many of which are being added to our Gift Section too!
We also work with low emission delivery companies such as Zedify and Click it Local who use zero emission delivery methods such as cycles and electric vans.
Every decision we make has ecology firmly positioned within the process. We have come up with many ways to reduce emissions as a result of buying from us online. They include;
Click & Collect – Simply select this so you can pick up your order whenever you are at the shop next.
Zero Emissions Local Delivery – all Brighton deliveries are via cycle or electric vehicle whether you buy from us directly or via Click it Local.
Local Agents – Outside of Brighton we are collaborating with local people across the country to provide local collection or delivery services. Our agents also provide local access to information, demonstrations and the odd social evening where you can take a look at our gorgeous range of products. We are growing our agency network all the time and always looking for people who love stationery, want to help us reduce emissions and make some money at the same time.
