Brighton greeting cards by Dave Thompson

We stock quite few greeting cards featuring Brighton and the surrounding area but one artist we return to time and again is Dave Thompson whose images recall an earlier era of travel poster design using large areas of flat, vibrant colour and classic, period typefaces. But his work isn't just pastiche - he himself has designed travel posters for London Underground, following in the footsteps of luminaries such as Paul Nash and Cyril Power. On a recent trip to St Ives I saw a selection of his Cornish subjects for sale and a recent trade fair featured just his London images. But we offer his Brighton and Sussex subjects: from Brighton Pier and the Royal Pavilion to the coastline at Seven Sisters.

These greeting cards have proved so popular with our customers that we have added them to Dave Thompson greeting card, Brighton Royal Pavilionthe Pen to Paper website so that customers from further afield can buy them online. You can check the cards out at We also keep some of these images as posters in the shop.
